IT’S A… BOY!!

I absolutely loved being able to host our Gender Reveal party! Our closest friends and family were able to come over and enjoy some snacks and treats before we actually found out whether #babytaylor was a boy or girl! So, we were able to have our anatomy scan on the Monday before the actually party on Saturday and to say that it was one of the hardest weeks of waiting would be an understatement! We were able to hand off the envelope that the doctor gave us (with the announcement inside) to our great friends, Casey and Ethan, and they did such a good job at keeping the secret! I definitely had a hard time not constantly asking and texting them to tell me the gender that week. So, they were the ones to fill the balloon with the correct confetti color and chose the correct smoke bomb color!

Ever since I got pregnant, I have been so convinced that this sweet babe was going to be a girl! I think because of the old wives tales and because so many of my friends were finding out that they were having girls. However, I also think I just wanted to convince Mark that we were having a girl so that he wouldn’t be disappointed at all (because we have all see those videos of the Dad being super bummed about their first baby not being a boy). Although I really think he would have been overjoyed either way! But when we found out it WAS a boy, Mark’s reaction was priceless.

I loved decorating for this fun party! Most of the decor was from Party City, but some of them (like the gold balloons and the gender reveal balloon) I ordered from amazon. The smoke bombs I ordered from the sweetest lady on Etsy who had amazing communication and sent me extras (just in case because I was so worried about it showing up in photos). Lastly, I was able to send a little inspiration to Anna at One Belle Bakery  for some decorated cookies and she knocked it out of the park!! So, if you are in need for any fun or decorated sweet treats, she is your girl.
