After photographing Emmie and Austin’s engagement photos at Wrightsville Beach I COULD NOT wait for these lovebirds’ Wilmington Bakery 105 wedding to arrive!
In late summer of 2018, Emmie and Austin had just finished a long wedding season and Emmie was itching for a proposal from Austin! What she didn’t know though, was that he had already bought a ring and had laid out a plan for an incredible proposal! Austin was going to propose to Emmie on a helicopter ride around Charlotte, but Hurricane Michael had almost ruined his plans! Miraculously, the day of the proposal turned out to be gorgeous with not a cloud in the sky and Austin’s plan worked!
Before Emmie and Austin’s first look, Emmie couldn’t help but shed happy tears as she read Austin’s note to her. I loved how each time she would look at herself in the mirror, she would say, “I can’t believe it’s here!” She absolutely could not wait to see her groom! Austin felt very much the same as he was grinning ear to ear when he saw Emmie during their first look!
Their wedding ceremony was held at St. James Episcopal Church, followed by their beautiful reception at Bakery 105! Fiore Fine Flowers did SUCH an amazing job with all of the floral details, from the bouquets to the STUNNING wall of greenery in the reception space! To top off the décor, High Performance Lighting set up this unique copper lighting over the dance floor and it complemented the space perfectly! None of this would have been possible though, without their amazing wedding planner Katie Swain!
I loved Emmie and Austin’s energy throughout the entire night which they carried all the way through to their epic sparkler exit followed by a dreamy vintage horse-drawn carriage ride! It was the perfect way to end such a fun night!
