I am so excited to share this beautiful engagement session! I met Kasaundra and Derrick in Historical Downtown Wilmington, NC for their dreamy, golden portraits. When I first began emailing with Kasaundra, she mentioned that she was a fellow photographer and I could not be more thrilled that she chose me to capture their love story. Kasaundra had such a wonderful vision for their session and it made me so happy to help bring her vision to life.

As we were walking down the cobble streets of downtown, we were randomly met by a man who lived in the house we were taking photos near. He mentioned that his yard was right next door and offered to allow us to use his property for some of our portraits. Although at first I was not quite sure what his yard would actually look like, we were amazed by the beautiful greenery and flowers that greeted us behind the iron gate. It was the perfect way to begin their shoot and the rest of the session just got better and better as the day went on!

To cap off Kasaundra and Derrick’s session, the golden sunset on Wrightsville Beach became the incredible backdrop of this gorgeous couple. The dreamy colors could not have complimented this couple and their love for one another better and I was so thankful to have captured these beautiful moments. I cannot wait for their beautiful wedding at Southern Charm in August!
