Hey there!
It has been a very long while since posting a personal blog, but I definitely want to give you all more of an inside look at me and my life! My passion for wanting to become a lifestyle photographer stems from my love of learning more about the unique story that every individual has. To be able to capture someone’s beautiful journey in a series of photographs is such a privilege. So when my husband, Mark and I purchased and renovated our new home this year, I knew I needed to turn the tables and let somebody else document my unique story for a change! And that somebody was my talented photographer friend, Amber of Six Foot Photography. She has been with us through our engagment, our wedding, and now our anniversary and first home!
Letting someone into your home and your life is intimate. You go about your daily life, laughing and cooking and hanging out like you would on any other day… and all the while you have someone there capturing every moment.
The result? This special session that was truly full of love, heart, and fun! And I’m so excited to share it with you today to give you a glimpse into my life. The timing for this session couldn’t have been better. Not only did this year mark one year married to my handsome husband, but our 60 lb. fur baby, Beau Taylor (who just turned 1) of course he had to be included! We spent our morning making pancakes together. It’s something we do on a lot of Saturday mornings that we spend at home. I sipped my coffee and Mark sipped a Dr. Pepper (his caffeinated drug of choice). We hung out in our pjs on the couch, we snuggled in bed, and we capped it off with a pillow fight that left feathers flying!
The photos from this morning are ones that Mark and I will treasure as we walk through this life together. If you get the chance to spend a morning making pancakes with your spouse while someone documents it, I definitely encourage you to leap into it wholeheartedly.
